Founding of SCHOEPS

At first the main business was acoustical consulting, since many cinemas, auditoriums and other public buildings had to be restored or rebuilt following the massive wartime destruction. The company's services were used throughout southwestern Germany.

There was no company building at this time. All work was done in the attic apartment of Karl Schoeps and his family, or out “on location”.
